Kenbury is currently representing a leading advisory firm seeking to appoint an Analyst II/III to join their Sydney-based M&A team.

This is a compelling opportunity for individuals with 2+ years of direct investment banking or corporate advisory experience to work on high-profile, complex M&A transactions across Australia and internationally.

Role Overview

Responsibilities

As an Analyst, you will support live transactions and new business activity, working closely with senior bankers across all stages of deal execution. Key responsibilities include:

  • Building and adapting detailed financial models and valuation analyses
  • Preparing marketing materials and client presentations
  • Conducting company, industry and transaction research
  • Supporting due diligence processes and day-to-day execution matters
  • Collaborating closely with senior bankers and mentoring junior analysts
  • At least 2 years of experience in investment banking or corporate finance (within a leading bank or advisory firm)
  • A strong academic background at graduate or post-graduate level
  • Advanced financial modelling and valuation skills
  • A deep understanding of corporate finance, accounting, and transaction principles
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with clients and internal stakeholders
  • A proactive and collaborative mindset
  • Experience in energy, infrastructure or related sectors is highly regarded
  • A genuine interest in global capital markets and cross-border M&A
