We are looking for a Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) to join our Post Anaesthetic Care Unit team to provide leadership and support to our highly valued nursing workforce and to promote expert care for patients within our service. The CNS will be responsible for performing the following duties:
This role reports to the Coordinator of Nursing - Perioperative and Sterilisation Services.

- Provides local leadership to nursing, medical and allied health professionals in area(s) of specialty.
- Promotes a team approach to decision-making and high-quality patient care.
- Implements and maintains performance management systems which support the ongoing development of staff.
- Provides clinical expertise and acts as a resource for the Post Anaesthesia Care Unit and Perioperative department.
- Actively participates in the development and implementation of clinical standards, policies and strategies for the area(s) of specialty.
- Facilitates opportunities for further education and development to promote succession planning.
This role reports to the Coordinator of Nursing - Perioperative and Sterilisation Services.
