We're on the lookout for a dynamic General Manager Operations for Region 4 to join our team and drive operational excellence. As the General Manager Operations, you'll lead our Region 4 Operations, ensuring everything runs smoothly, safely, and on time. You'll be the key leader for the operations teams, driving process improvements, collaborating with stakeholders, and delivering exceptional customer experiences
'This Role Will Be Responsible For
Operational Management: You will oversee the weekly planning adjustments and manage disruptions to ensure the safe and timely running of services. This includes handling unplanned services and customer needs for TfNSW regions, as well as reviewing and submitting TfNSW reports on time.
Policy Implementation and Compliance: Your role involves implementing and monitoring company policies and procedures across operations teams, with a strong focus on safety. You'll work on improving bus operations processes to meet regulatory compliance and client KPIs.
Incident Management and Improvement: You will investigate operational incidents and implement improvements to prevent recurrence. This includes managing operational KPI reporting and performance data, and initiating corrective actions as needed.
Stakeholder and Workforce Management: Building and maintaining professional relationships with key stakeholders is crucial. You'll manage the driver workforce plan, mitigate identified risks, and oversee the functional budget to ensure financial targets are met.
Leadership and Culture: Lead by example and support CDC managers and employees. You'll promote a best practice Health, Safety, and Environment culture, monitor and review HSE performance, and ensure adequate resources and systems are in place.
We are seeking a dynamic and proven leader who is accountable and strategic in their approach. You should excel in contract management and decision-making, with strong negotiation skills and the ability to coordinate internal and external stakeholders effectively. Attention to detail and the ability to prioritise tasks are essential, as is the capability to drive accountability in others and build effective teams. Experience in transport would be well regarded.
