Job Profile
Reporting to the Director Data & Information Governance, this role will be responsible for ensuring the integrity, consistency, and protection of Lotterywest and Healthway data assets. This involves review and integration of disparate data sources, developing high quality data standards, and ensuring compliance with evolving policy and legislative regulations.
The role has the following key areas of focus:
- Identification of Data Assets – assists with the identification, analysis and mapping of data assets across Lotterywest and Healthway’s technology environments.
- Define and enforce data quality standards, processes, and controls – continuously monitoring data quality and integrity, and resolving data quality issues promptly.
- Build Information Sharing Culture – Assess and manage risks related to data sharing, ensuring compliance with PRIS requirements and organisational policies, and develop and maintain Data Sharing Agreements for secure and compliant data exchange.
Required Qualification
This role requires possession of a tertiary or qualification in Information/Data Management, Information Science, or a related Information Technology area and/or a minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role.
Essential Selection Criteria
- Considerable experience with large scale data management deliverables in a complex organisational environment
- Demonstrated experience in the design, creation, implementation and management of data governance activities ensuring compliance with relevant industry and legislative requirements
- Proficiency in using data governance technologies and utilities (such as data cataloguing, data lineage, data governance platforms)
- Knowledge of data modelling, data architecture, and data engineering concepts
- Highly developed interpersonal and verbal communication skills, including ability to manage stakeholder relationships and undertake high-level consultation and advice.
- In the context of the role, demonstrate the skills and behaviours within the leadership context (Personal Leader), demonstrating experience in working in a team to positively contribute and identify opportunities for improvement
