About The Role

We are seeking a dynamic Rope Access Manager to ensure compliance of all Rope Access services with UGL’s Safe Systems of Work and current IRATA requirements. The role involves managing the Rope Access Team Members and supporting operations at diverse work locations, contributing to our commitment to safety and excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Service Development: Develop Rope Access services for the UGL Contracts ensuring IRATA certification compliance.
  • Safety Compliance: Oversee safe execution of Rope Access activities adhering to UGL HSE policies and legislative standards.
  • Team Coordination: Manage Rope Access personnel, ensuring qualifications, certifications, and continuous professional development.
  • Incident Management: Investigate and report incidents, completing necessary IRATA documentation.
  • Business Development: Support tender preparation and business development activities.
  • Equipment Management: Ensure operational equipment is maintained and purchased per operational procedures.
  • Financial Oversight: Administer commercial activities, ensuring accurate time reporting and delay management.


Qualifications And Experience

  • Essential:
  • Current IRATA Level III certification
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification
  • Practical (Hands-on) & Technical background
  • Desirable:
  • Several years experience in Rope Access management or supervisory experience
  • Extensive management experience in construction/maintenance industry
  • Proficient in handling complex hazardous operations
  • Knowledge of the Australian industrial relations environment
