Senior Legal Counsel

You will be joining a highly reputable Big 4 Bank within their established and growing legal team spread across Australia and focusing on their technological development, projects and partnering with other functions across the bank.

About The Role

Responsibilities include:

• Delivering pragmatic legal advice to support strategic partnerships and innovation-led projects
• Drafting and negotiating complex commercial agreements, joint ventures, and alliance arrangements
• Guiding stakeholders on the legal and regulatory implications of new business models
• Collaborating with privacy, data, and tech legal teams, as well as broader risk functions
• Managing external counsel when needed for specialist input or additional support
• Leading legal capability initiatives to enhance business understanding of legal and regulatory matters
  
  

About You

You have:

• +6PQE with current practising certificate and relevant legal qualifications
• Strong technology and/or banking and finance experience from a reputable law firm
• Ability to work through legal complexity to deliver clear, practical solutions
