About the role

Are you a strong and innovative leader? Would you value the opportunity to impart your reliability and asset management expertise across a high-performing maintenance function?

Drive consistent reliability and compliance processes for GrainCorp’s Storage and Handling Assets to increase the overall uptime and availability of equipment and reduce the number of failures and downtime. Ensure long-term asset reliability, through optimizing maintenance strategies, and identifying and managing asset reliability risks to inform major maintenance and capital investment decisions.


Specifically, you will:


  • Develop, implement, govern, and improve Equipment Maintenance Strategies
  • Coach and support Maintenance Managers and Supervisor in Reliability practices and take the lead in RCA, PMI Optimisation and Maintenance Strategies
  • Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA’s) for significant failures / abnormalities and co-ordinate investigations and corrective actions
  • Work with the SAP Systems team to upload PMIs and communicate to the National Maintenance function
  • Facilitate criticality assessments and identification of critical spares
  • Collaborate with the Innovation and Design team and Maintenance Managers to develop holistic asset maintenance strategies
  • Develop and document Asset Management Plans
  • Responsible for the development of integrity management and inspection strategies for compliance assets such as pressure vessels, fire systems, bulk weighers and weighbridges
  • Co-ordinate and participate in periodic plant and equipment history reviews to maximise plant availability
  • Complete quality reviews on maintenance processes and completion and provide feedback to supervisors and frontline employees
  • Manage a Program/Project timeline to scope and track initiative timelines and provide stakeholders and managers with updates
  • Identify and manage asset reliability risks to inform major maintenance and capital investment decisions in a 3 year rolling plan


About your experience

Our ideal candidate has solid experience in reliability engineering and asset management. We’re open to candidates from a wide range of industries and trades / engineering backgrounds (bulk handling or manufacturing a bonus).

  • Experience leading change following change management principles
  • Demonstrated experience with SAP
  • Strong commercial acumen
  • High level customer service focus
  • Self-motivated, proven time management skills and ability to work under pressure.
  • Current open drivers’ licence
