    Key Responsibilities

    ABOUT THE ROLE
    Working as part of a team and being the face of our organisation, we are seeking a full time Medical Receptionist & Data Health Clerk to work across our Geelong Clinics in the charming heritage buildings as the face of our organisation, as you deliver on the highest standards of services to our patients, referrers and community while maintaining accurate BreastScreen results and information.

    This is a unique opportunity to work across our Medical Reception along with the Geelong BreastScreen’s Data team, which supports data integrity, quality and accuracy of all BreastScreen services within the region.
    The successful candidate will preferably have prior experience in health service administration.

    They will be responsible for working with the Data team and reception team to ensure:
  • Quality checking and processing client and clinical information.

  • Timely provision of BreastScreen results.

  • Process, file and retrieve confidential data generated by screening sites (BS1 QA, Abbyy verifications – BSV specific work)

  • Image transfer to facilitate ongoing care

  • Release of BreastScreen information to other service providers, as necessary according to policy.

  • Ensure high quality data is produced and analysed

  • Coordinate multidisciplinary meetings

  • Ensure compliance with BreastScreen standards and requirements

  • Representing Lake imaging as the first impression of the practice as you meet and greet patients and front desk.

  • Make patient bookings while maximising appointment slots

  • Answer incoming calls in a proficient, timely and professionally welcoming manner

  • Attend to incoming mail and posting outgoing mail

  • Possibility of medical typing which is BreastScreen specific


  • ABOUT YOU
  • Excellent interpersonal skills in order to show patients care, compassion and empathy

  • Detailed understanding of medical imaging terminology

  • Accuracy and attention to detail is a must!

  • Excellent time management skills in order to prioritise tasks

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team

  • Excellent keyboard skills for data entry into RIS system

  • Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development
