Senior Policy and Project Officer

We are currently supplementing our existing pool of talented policy, planning and project management professionals for our FPAR directorate. Our work focuses on strategic policy, planning of transport infrastructure, and associated projects to support the development and delivery of the State’s strategic vision for WA multi-modal freight supply chains, ports and regional aviation.

We are looking for pro-active problem solvers and agile critical thinkers with good strategic instincts. You will need to be able to cultivate and maintain high level relationships with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate better understanding, development, and implementation of complex strategic transport policy, planning and program initiatives.

Strong writing skills, the ability to conduct research and data analysis and the ability to present fit-for-purpose information to a variety of audiences are imperative for these roles. Suitable applicants will be placed in a pool from which appointments will be made for current and future vacancies (fixed term or permanent) that arise within the next 12 months from the date of first appointment across the Department of Transport.
