About This Role
On behalf of our Client, a World Leader in the Oil & Gas Energy sector, Brunel is presently recruiting a Community Relations Officer to implement a Community Relations program across all Operations in Australia and New Zealand to meet business objectives. This is a contract role located in Melbourne, Docklands. This position is open to candidates who are presently residing in Melbourne.

On behalf of our Client, a World Leader in the Oil & Gas Energy sector, Brunel is presently recruiting a Community Relations Officer to implement a Community Relations program across all Operations in Australia and New Zealand to meet business objectives. This is a contract role located in Melbourne, Docklands. This position is open to candidates who are presently residing in Melbourne.
An insight into your responsibilities will include:
- Lead Operations Integrity managing Community Risk for Upstream Operations and for Product Solutions Operations
- Develop and steward annual community outreach strategy for each major operating site, and as required for key projects at sites to meet objectives and regulatory requirements and support licence to operate
- Provide annual update to OIMS Management Committee
- Participate in internal and external OIMS assessments
- First point of contact, providing Community Relations assistance and advice to operating sites and projects across Australia and New Zealand including how to manage community enquiries and issues for base business and projects
- Steward annual community contributions budget and programs
- Develop and steward metrics for all contributions and report metrics
- Develop and foster local community relationships to identify potential issues and grow network of third-party advocates
- Engage with Public and Government Affairs Team to promote community relations initiatives
- Manage site participation in community visits and other outreach programs, and participation in volunteer activities
- Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences, Socioeconomics or Public Relations
- Previous experience in Community Relations, preferably within the Oil & Gas or Resources industry sectors
- Confident interpersonal and communication skills
- Professional writing and editing expertise
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite
