The Salvation Army Aged Care is seeking a passionate and experienced advocate to champion the voices of older Australians. In this pivotal role, you’ll be the conduit between clients, their families, and our care services—ensuring that feedback is heard, incidents are managed with integrity, and care continues to improve every day.

About The Role

Reporting to the General Manager – Care Quality and Compliance, you’ll lead the national complaints and advocacy function, playing a key role in:

  • Coordinating feedback and complaints processes with professionalism and care
  • Managing the investigation and reporting of serious incidents and unexpected deaths
  • Leading client and resident engagement initiatives to ensure their voices shape our services
  • Liaising with external bodies like the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission
  • Championing a culture of transparency, safety, and continuous improvement

You will also support and train teams to meet mandatory reporting obligations, maintain strong data records, and share meaningful insights through our governance forums.

About You

You’re a natural communicator and compassionate leader with a strong clinical and governance background. You are:

  • A Registered Nurse (AHPRA) with at least 2 years in a senior complaints or advocacy role
  • Experienced in aged care or health service leadership
  • Skilled in investigation, risk management and root cause analysis
  • Knowledgeable about clinical governance and incident reporting legislation
  • Confident presenting insights and recommendations to both internal and external stakeholders
