Childcare Educational Leader | Nightcliff
Journey Early Learning is seeking a passionate, experienced, and influential Educational Leader to join our Nightcliff team—someone who can inspire, motivate, affirm, and constructively challenge or extend the practices and pedagogy of our educators
Centre Overview:
Our Nightcliff centre is a place where children aged from six weeks to six years can make a positive start to a life of learning, development, growth and opportunity.
Our purpose-built centre offers a dynamic environment, featuring stimulating indoor and outdoor play spaces, exciting excursions and incursions, and a vibrant, culturally diverse community that fosters strong connections among children, families and educators.
About the role:
As our Educational Leader, you’ll play a pivotal role as part of our leadership team. Drawing on your strong leadership qualities, you will use your expertise in curriculum programming and your proven ability to mentor and support educators across all rooms to drive high-quality practice and learning outcomes
Key Responsibilities:
- Motivate and lead a team of educators to achieve high-quality care for all children within the service
- Clear understanding of Storypark and ensure children’s learning is documented in a high quality and professional manner
- Work collaboratively with the team to ensuring high quality practices are consistently embedded across the service
- Establish, nurture and foster strong and inclusive relationships with children to achieve quality learning and development outcomes
- Building a supportive relationship with families to allow for honest and open communication of expectations and needs
- Assisting in ensuring high quality practices and procedures are being met according to the NQS
- Ensuring the inclusion and support of all children's learning abilities
About you:
Your ability to create environments that foster growth, creativity, and a lifelong love of learning, combined with your experience in providing exceptional support and mentorship to educators, will be key to your success in this role
Key skills and requirements:
- Bachelor or Diploma level Early Childhood Education and Care qualification
- Passionate about children, their development, and safety
- Demonstrated ability to create and implement a quality education program
- Sound knowledge of the National Quality Framework & National Law
- Understand leadership and mentoring, be approachable & willing to learn
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Possession of current First Aid, PR, Asthma & Anaphylaxis Certificates
- Valid Working with Children Check
