Life Saving Victoria is Victoria's peak water safety and lifesaving organisation built on the proud traditions and programs of our founding organisations, the Royal Life Saving Society – Australia and Surf Life Saving Australia.
Lifesaving has been an integral part of the Victorian way of life since 1904. Today LSV is a multifaceted volunteer-based community organisation with a focus on public safety and community wellbeing.
Our volunteers, members, employees and partners work together with communities, educational institutions, government agencies, businesses and the broader aquatic industry, to Save lives and empower communities to safely enjoy water.
We’re excited to offer an excellent opportunity for a People and Culture Administrator to join our People and Culture team on a fulltime ongoing basis. Located at our Port Melbourne Head Office (flexible arrangements are available) and reporting to the Senior Manager – People and Culture, this role will play a critical part in ensuring the effective operation, enhancement, and support of emergency management systems and operational communications at Life Saving Victoria.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Manage the People and Culture and Claims Management inbox and ensure queries are responded to in a timely manner
- Assist with recruitment, selection, induction and onboarding processes for year round and seasonal roles
- Maintain employee records, ensuring all items are compliant
- Support with employee lifecycle milestone activities including training and probation reviews
- Assist with program administration and systems maintenance activities that track key metrics for reporting
- Support the wider shared services team with ad hoc events, projects and initiatives
Who are you?
- You are a proactive and engaging professional with strong interpersonal skills and a customer-focused approach to working with a broad range of people from varying backgrounds
- You may have a tertiary qualification in Human Resources (or related discipline) and/or equivalent experience in a People and Culture or Compliance or Administrative role
- You possess administrative precision and thrive in structured yet dynamic environments
- You’re an excellent verbal and written communicator
- You are highly organised and adaptable, capable of managing multiple priorities and working both independently and collaboratively.
- You have an understanding of and commitment to confidentiality
- You must have (or be willing to obtain) a Victorian Employee Working with Children Check
