The Opportunity
We have an exciting new opportunity for a Completions Lead to join our Energy and Utilities business in Western Australia on a casual basis. The role will a 5/2 DIDO in company time.
The Completions Lead is responsible for managing the quality assurance and quality control teams across the project and ensuring that Downer’s completions obligations are met. This includes overseeing the collation and submission of quality documentation, managing the completion dossiers, and liaising with the client’s quality and completions team to ensure successful handover of work scopes. The role ensures quality, compliance, and efficiency in completion systems and sign-off processes, contributing directly to project delivery success
What we are looking for
- Proven experience using Smart Completions / Omega (essential)
- Experience in electrical/mechanical design, installation, testing, and commissioning
- Tertiary qualification in Mechanical, Structural, Civil, Electrical Engineering, or related field (preferred) – also trade with extensive experience considered.
- Certification in Quality Assurance or Compliance is essential
- Minimum 5 years in a quality or completions lead role within the resources, construction, or mining sectors
- Demonstrated experience leading QA/QC teams
- Strong knowledge of completions systems (e.g., CCMS, Smart Completions, or similar)
- Experience in client-side interface for handover and scope acceptance
- Strong planning, coordination, and documentation management skills
- Ability to liaise confidently with internal teams and client representatives
- Familiarity with QA/QC and completions procedures, MDRs, ITRs, and turnover packages
- High-level computer skills, particularly with MS Office and completions tracking tools
