An exciting opportunity for a Commercial and Legal Manager to join the Capella Capital business and work within the Cross Yarra Partnership team
About the Project The Metro Tunnel and Stations PPP Project is one of the largest transport infrastructure projects ever undertaken in Australia. The Project is a Public Private Partnership (PPP) and includes the construction of twin nine-kilometre tunnels under Melbourne’s CBD from Kensington to South Yarra as part of a new end-to-end Sunshine to Dandenong line, together with the delivery of 5 new underground stations. The Project also includes the ongoing maintenance of the tunnels and stations and operation of permitted commercial opportunities for term of the concession Project Co brings together the private sector finance on the Project and has subcontracted the design and construction to the D&C Subcontractor, and the maintenance services to the Maintenance Subcontractor
About the Role In this pivotal role, as Commercial and Legal Manager, you will support the Commercial and Legal Director to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and preserve Project Co rights across the Project, together with assisting the team in ensuring Project Co’s commercial success. You will be a key member, in ensuring the smooth transition between the Design and Construct Phase of the Project, as it moves into the Maintenance Phase. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives on delivering impactful project outcomes You will bring experience gained in a commercial, corporate, construction and/or transport infrastructure environment. You will have a professional and tenacious yet collaborative approach, with the ability to build effective relationships with employees at all levels in the organisation. Candidates currently working in a reputable law firm wishing to move in-house will be considered. You must have an Australian Law Degree and a current practicing certificate. Experience in PPP project delivery will be highly regarded
