- To become a member of the dynamic Mercy pastoral care team, providing respectful spiritual and emotional care to patients and families across all areas of Werribee Mercy Hospital
- Be able to assess, triage and respond to diverse pastoral, spiritual and religious needs. Be flexible, adaptable, with well-developed interpersonal and communication skills and a good understanding of your scope of practice
- Engage collaboratively with all members of the multi-disciplinary team to provide holistic care and make referrals as needed
What you’ll bring:

To thrive in this role, you will have:
- Completed at least two Clinical Pastoral Education units, or equivalent supervised pastoral care training, and eligible for certified membership of Spiritual Care Australia (SCA)
- Completed a Bachelor of Theology or relevant graduate qualifications
- Previous experience providing spiritual care in a health setting and able to function as an Independent Practitioner (Level 2 SCA Capabilities Framework)
- Excellent clinical, time management, organisational and communication skills, with the ability to adapt and problem solve
- A compassionate, flexible and positive approach to effective patient care and management
- The ability to nurture friendly, respectful relationships and contribute to a collaborative team environment
- A current Police Record Check and Working with Children Check
- Proof of current influenza vaccination and other vaccination status consistent with public health orders
