About the role
As General Manager – Epping, you will oversee strategic direction, operational performance, stakeholder engagement, and team development. This senior leadership role is responsible for delivering financial, operational, and marketing outcomes aligned with QIC’s broader business goals.
Key responsibilities:
- Drive and implement strategic initiatives in partnership with QIC’s Head Office and property teams.
- Manage all facets of centre performance including financial, operational, presentation, and marketing.
- Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team, creating a culture of excellence and accountability.
- Act as the senior relationship manager between QIC and key internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with legislative, regulatory and QIC risk management standards.
- Oversee stakeholder engagement including government, industry bodies, and the local community.
- Support property development planning and future growth initiatives.
- Champion retailer relationships to achieve commercial and service outcomes.
- Deliver strong financial results including budget adherence, debtor management, and income generation.
About you
As General Manager, you will be a commercially astute leader with deep experience in retail property management and a passion for building high-performing teams and strategic stakeholder relationships. You will bring a track record of achieving operational excellence and delivering tangible outcomes across retail assets.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience managing a regional shopping centre in Australia.
- Current Real Estate Licence/Certificate of Registration (as per jurisdictional requirements).
- Strong relationship management skills and the management of the Joint Venture Partner relationship (reporting, presentations, approvals etc in a Joint Venture relationship asset) required.
- Strong understanding of Retail Leases and Trade Practices legislation.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proven experience in financial management and team performance leadership.
- Tertiary qualifications and/or PCA Diploma of Shopping Centre Management (preferred).
