We are going through an exciting period of growth and with that we have a great opportunity for a Senior Primary Engineer (Transformer) to join us!
This role will see you will see you providing specialised expertise to the Asset Management team in power transformers and Station primary equipment.
With a hybrid split (Office/WFH)), this role is based in Southbank, Melbourne and is part of our Asset Management team within our Transmission line of business.
This role will deliver real outcomes, including but not limited to:
- Providing technical expertise associated with power transformers and primary equipment, covering all voltage levels up to 550kV
- Providing expert input to asset management strategies and philosophies
- Providing expert input to performance and technical specifications
- Providing expert input to the development of equipment standards
- Initiating projects (develop concepts, prepare business cases and project handover documentation)
- Supporting Regulatory submission replacement plans
- Supporting the implementation of asset management and asset replacement initiatives
- Assessing and reviewing the condition of power and instrument transformers
- Review/audit of asset related databases
- Investigating and analysing equipment failures or problems, drafting reports etc.
You don’t need to tick every box; however, we are looking for a good combination of:
- In-depth knowledge of HV assets, with a focus on Power Transformers and emerging trends and innovations
- Significant demonstrated experience within engineering/asset management
- Understanding of Asset Management leading practices, frameworks and relevant standards
- Ability to lead and coordinate failure and incident investigations
- Demonstrated expertise in developing and implementing strategic asset management plans, preferably in a regulated environment
- Knowledge of relevant condition monitoring and assessment techniques for Primary equipment
- Degree qualified in Engineering
