About the Role:
We are seeking a dynamic and outgoing Lead Cyber Security Consultant to join our growing team in Brisbane. This is a customer-facing, hands-on leadership role, perfect for someone who thrives on building strong relationships, solving complex security challenges, and taking ownership of outcomes. You will play a strategic and technical leadership role across advanced cybersecurity operations, major security programs, and multi-cloud environments.
Please note: Australian Citizenship is required for this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead strategic cybersecurity engagements, developing strong relationships with client stakeholders, including C-Suite and Board-level executives
- Design and deliver comprehensive cybersecurity roadmaps aligned with frameworks such as NIST 800-53, NIS2, and NCSC CAF
- Manage large, complex deployments of SIEM and XDR tools, including QRadar, Microsoft Sentinel, Datadog, and Google Chronicle
- Advise clients on governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) matters, ensuring effective security alignment with business goals
- Drive a multi-cloud security strategy across AWS, Azure, and GCP environments
- Oversee critical incident management, complex threat analysis, and strategic reporting
- Present clear, compelling cybersecurity insights to senior client stakeholders
- Mentor and coach junior consultants and contribute to internal capability growth
Required Technical Skills
- Expertise in strategic cybersecurity frameworks (NIST CSF (800-53), NCSC CAF, NIS2
- Advanced capabilities with enterprise-level SIEM/XDR/SOAR platforms (QRadar, Sentinel, Datadog, Chronicle
- Advanced knowledge and practical experience with multi-cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP) in the managed services environment
- Proven capability in incident handling, threat intelligence, and strategic security consulting
Training and Certifications
- EC-Council C-CISO or equivalent executive cybersecurity certification
- CREST CPTIA (Practitioner Threat Intelligence Analyst
- SANS GCIH (Certified Incident Handler)
- Datadog Cloud SIEM Certification
- Google Chronicle SIEM Certification
- Advanced Multi-cloud Security Certification (AWS/Azure/GCP)
- CISM, CISSP or CRISC – or equivalent
