As a Payroll Assistant, you’ll assist in all aspects of payroll from processing pay runs to answering employee queries. You’ll partner with a wide a range of key stakeholders from our employees themselves, Finance & Risk partners and the broader People & Culture function.

What The Role Is All About
- Work closely with rest of Payroll team to assist with monthly payroll process, ensuring correctness, eligibility, and timeliness of payments
- Assist with processing of superannuation, redundancy calculations, payroll tax etc
- Engage with employees at all levels and answer queries in a clear and accurate manner
- Assist in reviewing current payroll practices, determining what efficiencies can be made, if any
- Assist with reporting where required
- 6+ months experience in Payroll or HR ideal but not necessary
- Enthusiasm to learn and a passion for numbers
- Payroll compliance knowledge, including sound employment tax and industrial relation knowledge
- Intermediate Excel skills advantageous but not necessary
- General problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively
