Position Profile And Role

As a key member of our team, you will perform clinical diagnostic procedures, neurophysiological monitoring and evaluate data obtained through these procedures to validate diagnosis, while developing your knowledge of the field and patient-focused care.

Key Responsibilities Include

  • Conduct a variety of paediatric neurophysiological tests including EEG, evoked potentials, and nerve conduction studies providing accurate and timely neurophysiological assessments.
  • Collaborate closely with paediatric neurologists and other medical professionals.
  • Analyse test results, ensuring comprehensive and precise reports for patient records.
  • Maintain neurophysiological equipment, ensuring accuracy and functionality.
  • Stay up-to-date with advancements in clinical neurophysiology and paediatric neurology research.
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and support the hospital's commitment to excellence in patient care.

About Our Team

Our specialised clinic as part of the Children’s Neuroscience Service at Perth Children’s Hospital (PCH) caters to children from preterm to 18 years of age, particularly those with epilepsy, offering a comprehensive range of services from EEGs to Intraoperative Monitoring during brain and spinal surgeries. Our EEG satellite service to King Edward Memorial Hospital (KEMH) provides Neonatal EEGs for infants in intensive care.

As part of our commitment to healthier futures for our young patients, we are proud to contribute several peer-reviewed publications annually as an outcome of our active involvement in clinical trials and research studies, and in collaboration with our esteemed partners at Telethon Kids Research Institute and universities.
