Our Rare Earths deposit in Mt Weld, Western Australia, is acknowledged as one of the highest-grade Rare Earths mine in the world and we operate the world’s largest single Rare Earths processing plant in Malaysia - so you’re joining a very unique team! As a team member you will be contributing to the sustainable supply of rare earths metals which are used in oil & gas, electric vehicles, and wind turbines.
Lynas Rare Earths is currently seeking an experienced HSE Advisor to join the team. In this exciting position, you will play an integral role in developing, coordinating, implementing, monitoring and evaluating health, safety and environmental (HSE) systems at the Lynas Rare Earths. This is a permanent full-time, fly in/fly out (FIFO) position from Perth to our Mt Weld Operations on an 8/6 roster.

As a highly valued member of the Lynas Rare Earths team, you will:
- Treat HSE compliance as a priority.
- Implement OHS critical risk management programs.
- Assist the HSE Team to manage and maintain the company’s International Standards (ISM / ISO).
- Have a positive attitude with the ability to self-motivate, plan and manage work programs.
- Interpret safety data, incident investigation and injury management cases.
- Work collaboratively in a supportive team environment.
- Considerable experience within a similar role in the mining industry
- Demonstrated initiative and creative problem-solving skills.
- Strong understanding of HSE management and a positive approach to implementation and execution of pragmatic management systems
- Intermediate MS Office skills.
- Demonstrate experience in the application of HSE legislation relevant to mining practices
- Relevant HSE/OHS qualification
- Cert IV in Emergency Medical
- Cert III Mine Emergency Response and Rescue
- Cert IV Ventilation Officer
- Injury Management Coordinator
- Knowledge of the online reporting systems utilized by the DMIRS
- ICAM Lead Investigator
- C class manual driver’s license, and comfortable with driving on gravel roads.
