About This Role

The main purpose of this role is to achieve effective Outage Scheduling to ensure critical path of the project can be accurately identified, monitored, and reported. The resource will be responsible for the development of Milestone, Pre-outage, Execution and Commissioning schedule to enable safe, reliable and the efficient return to operation of the Pinjar facility and associated equipment

Some of your key accountabilities will be:

  • Developing integrated precedence-based schedule covering the complexity of outage
  • Develops work break down structure and creates a schedule in order to manage the flow of work around the critical path
  • Determines the critical path and adjusts the schedule to minimise the critical path time frame and level resources
  • Flagging high priority work in the schedule, including review of priorities and as necessary reschedule existing work programmes
  • Managing own work and contributing to the effective use of outage team resources
  • Provide reports against the schedule for analysis of critical activities and the close out of the outage
  • Review work orders and job plans for completeness prior to importing into the schedule
  • Update SAP to reflect any variation requirements in a timely manner
  • Reacts to emergent work and updates the live schedule with work status and includes new work so that projected milestone dates can be confirmed and monitored
  • Assist with co-ordination of the work being performed from schedule analysis


Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess the following experience and attributes:

  • Possess a trade qualification or have an Engineering Diploma with relevant practical experience
  • Experience with a Power generating plant maintenance and / or operations experience
  • Maintenance planning and scheduling tools e.g. MIMS/Ellipse/SAP/Microsoft packages
  • Sound knowledge of maintenance procedures and quality assurance standards
  • Highly motivated individual who is adaptable and enjoys working in a hands-on environment
  • Displays excellent verbal, non-verbal and written interpersonal and communication skills
  • Diplomatic and professional demeanour
  • Ability and willingness to interact effectively with a diverse group of people including corporate and site-based personnel, suppliers, technical specialists and contractors in order to achieve customer focussed outcomes
  • Adaptability and motivation to support other areas of the business when required
  • Assertive and respectful manner to ensure protocols and deadlines are achieved
  • Ability to work autonomously and self-manage work priorities, with minimal supervision
