APF Cold Storage & Logistics is seeking a capable and solutions-focused Assistant Operations Manager to join our leadership team. This full-time role is ideal for someone with strong organisational skills and a passion for streamlining processes, supporting teams, and driving operational success in a dynamic warehouse and logistics environment.

You'll work closely with the Operations Manager to oversee key aspects of warehouse and transport coordination, compliance, systems, and staff support—playing a vital role in ensuring smooth day-to-day execution across our growing facilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support daily warehouse and transport functions to ensure smooth operations
  • Assist in maintaining compliance with HACCP, AQIS, WHS, and operational protocols
  • Operate within our digital systems (CartonCloud, Cognito Forms, CodeReadr, Jitbit) to manage tasks, stock, and reporting
  • Track and follow up help-desk tickets to ensure timely resolution
  • Liaise with vendors, suppliers, and internal teams to address operational needs
  • Assist with resource scheduling, maintenance planning, and inventory tracking
  • Support process improvement initiatives and contribute to SOP development
  • Monitor and report on KPIs and workflow performance
  • Engage with staff to support team development, safety, and performance

  • Tech confidence – able to use digital systems and adapt to new platforms
  • Knowledge of warehouse and transport environments (cold storage is a plus)
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities
  • Experience coordinating operational tasks and working with cross-functional teams

Desirable (But Not Essential)

  • Experience with CartonCloud, Jitbit, or similar WMS/help-desk systems
  • Forklift licence or warehouse coordination experience
  • Understanding of HACCP, AQIS, or WHS frameworks
  • Background in logistics, supply chain, or business operations
  • Microsoft Excel or reporting tool proficiency
