Thanks to the incredible success of our Veteran Support Programs, RAAFA is now seeking a compassionate and driven Case Manager to join our Veteran Housing Programs. In this vital role, you will be a lifeline for veterans facing homelessness or housing instability—helping them find not just shelter, but the stability, dignity, and support they deserve.

In this role, you won’t just be managing cases, you’ll be building trust, fostering independence, and helping our veterans feel seen, heard, and supported. Whether it’s connecting someone with housing services, advocating on their behalf, or providing a listening ear, your impact will be real and lasting.

As a Case Manager, You Will

  • Support veterans experiencing or at risk of homelessness by developing tailored case plans.
  • Be the first point of contact for emergency housing enquiries, managing the process from application to placement
  • Maintain accurate records through our veteran database, case notes, and filing systems
  • Foster a culture of transparency by handling queries and encouraging meaningful feedback
  • Collaborate with a network of support services to address complex needs, from housing and health to employment and wellbeing.Work closely with our Property Team to ensure every accommodation is safe, welcoming, and truly feels like a place to rebuild and move forward

What You Bring To The Role

  • You’re a proud Australian Defence Force veteran, bringing lived experience and empathy to everything you do
  • Exceptional communication skills with a trauma-informed approach, able to build trust and make vulnerable veterans feel heard, respected, and supported throughout their journey.You thrive in dynamic environments and are adaptable to changing needs and priorities
  • You’re tech-savvy and confident using Microsoft Office tools
  • You’re proactive, organised, and always ready to step up
  • Your people skills are exceptional—you know how to build trust, listen deeply, and foster strong, respectful relationships
