Finance Manager, Fuels & Energy East - Guide Strategic Growth

Fuels & Energy East is a dynamic and inclusive part of UGL’s national business. We pride ourselves on working with major clients to include Shell, Santos, Conoco Phillips, Esso, Viva, and BP. Operating across 25-30 facilities nationwide, this business unit generates over $300 million and employs 800-1,200 staff, including 300 skilled professionals. You'll provide essential financial insights, manage working capital, and contribute to strategic growth, planning, and forecasting, ensuring the ongoing success of Fuels & Energy East.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the General Manager and Contract Managers to analyse financial and operational data, assessing strengths and weaknesses to ensure contract excellence.
- Propose innovative, strategic improvements to enhance operational profitability.
- Lead the development of the planning model, setting targets and creating financial projections and simulations.
- Ensure efficient month-end processing, while accurately reporting financial outcomes, business plans, and projections.
- Develop and maintain a labour rates model to boost profitability through creative structuring, with regular reviews for optimal margin recovery.
- Inspire and lead a diverse team of finance professionals, fostering an environment of dynamic growth and change.

About you
- You bring extensive experience in similar roles within our industry.
- Your commercial acumen and expertise in managing projects and Operations & Maintenance contracts stand out.
- Demonstrated success in forecasting, budgeting, and cash management.
- Hold a Bachelor's degree in commerce or accounting, with CPA/CA qualification or equivalent.
- You have strong leadership skills and excel in stakeholder engagement.
