The Opportunity
We’re seeking a proactive Supply Planner who thrives in an evolving environment to join our expanding Eye Care division. Your role will be key in ensuring seamless product availability, maintaining efficient inventory levels, and supporting our dynamic operations. You’ll need to be resilient, a great communicator, and comfortable interacting with individuals at all levels of the business, and eager to support the team and willing to learn and adapt to new challenges!
This hybrid role, based in Mount Waverley, offers flexible working, onsite parking, monthly team lunches, and a supportive office environment where adaptability and collaboration are highly valued.
Key Responsibilities:
Vendor & Supplier Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key supply and logistics partners and internal teams to meet service targets.
- Review and evaluate supplier performance, addressing issues proactively to uphold contract standards.
- Logistics and Supply Chain Management
- Manage timely distribution and supply of products, ensuring alignment with sales plans.
- Coordinate inventory levels across multiple storage locations to optimize stock and mitigate supply risks.
- Lead and enhance supply chain planning processes, contributing to the company’s group S&OP process for better forecasting accuracy.
Continuous Improvement & Reporting
- Maintain regular reporting to keep stakeholders informed of supply chain operations.
- Track KPIs and use data-driven insights to identify areas for operational improvement.
- Develop strategic solutions to maximize the efficiency and sustainability of supply logistics.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Tertiary qualifications in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in supply chain/logistics roles, preferably within healthcare, manufacturing, or FMCG.
- Expertise in demand forecasting, S&OP cycles, and inventory management.
- Proficiency in MRP systems, JDE / Gains experience is a plus.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills to navigate complex logistics scenarios.
