The Head of PMO is responsible for leading and optimizing the project management function within Eightcap. Their primary purpose is to ensure that projects, products and programs align with strategic objectives, follow best practices, and are delivered efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement PMO strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Establish governance frameworks, project methodologies, and best practices.
• Oversee project portfolio to ensure alignment with company goals.
• Monitor risks, dependencies, and delivery timelines to ensure successful execution.
• Provide updates and insights to executive leadership.
• Foster collaboration between departments to enhance project transparency.
• Lead and develop a team of 10-12 Project Managers and Product Owners.
• Promote a culture of collaboration, accountability, and professional growth.
• Optimise resource allocation and address capability gaps.
• Implement and optimise project management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
• Drive continuous process improvements and data-driven decision-making.
  
  

Who are you?

• Tech savvy PMO leadership – experience in leading a PMO is a mid-sized software or SaaS company
• Deep understanding of software development expertise (Agile, Scrum, Kanban)
• Pragmatic governance – governance frameworks that fit an Agile environment
• Hands-on leadership – strategic yet involved in day-to-day project execution
• Proficiency in Jira, confluence or similar
• Comfortable dealing with ambiguity
• Strong stakeholder management skills + team leadership
