At Kip Hobart and Kip Cambridge (Doggo’s on Shelomith), our teams are deeply committed to delivering exceptional care to every furry friend that walks through our doors. We are now looking for the pick of the litter to complement our existing teams and help contribute to providing a premium service to local pets.
Kip Hobart (Dog Daycare)
Operating Monday to Friday, between 6:30am and 6:30pm. The ideal candidate will be available to work flexible hours during weekdays, with a preference for mid-week availability (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday).
Duties and responsibilities:
- Supervising groups of dogs and managing their behaviours to maintain wellbeing and safety
- Providing canine enrichment through play and scheduled activities
- Implementing daily leadership and training activities
- Frequent cleaning and upkeep of the facility
- Building and maintaining rapport with our dog owners through daily feedback and transparency
- Creating and distributing media content for our dog owners through videos and photos
- Daily administration such as answering enquiries through email and phone, and record keeping of dog behaviours
Kip Cambridge (Pet Boarding)
Operating Monday to Sunday, between 7:00am and 6:00pm. Availability to work our peak periods including weekends, public holidays, and school holiday periods (including Christmas and Easter) is essential.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Provision of food and water for pets in care
- Health checks and general animal husbandry
- Supervising groups of dogs and managing their behaviours
- Providing enrichment through play and scheduled activities
- Frequent cleaning and upkeep of the facility to maintain hygiene and safety
- Building and maintaining rapport with pet owners through feedback and transparency
- Creating and distributing media content for our pet owners through videos and photos
- Daily administration such as answering enquiries, record keeping, and using booking systems
Key requirements for both roles:
- Available to attend a lawful unpaid work trial shift (operated within Fair Work guidelines)
- Confident in physically handling larger dog breeds
- High level of communication and empathetic in nature
- Able to work long days, on your feet, in a high-pressure environment
- A strong desire to learn more about canine behaviour and training
- Comfortable with computer systems (emails, booking platform) and phone applications (social media, filming/editing video content)
