The Role:

  • Oversee the performance and reliability of the Geological Survey's systems, minimizing system downtime.
  • Proactively identify issues and take the lead in managing and delivering Geological Survey system application maintenance activities within specified timeframes.
  • Lead and manage the team responsible for the full lifecycle management of the Geological Survey's geoscience applications.
  • Drive the planning and development of the geoscience systems improvement roadmap and platform enhancements.
  • Oversee the resolution of technical issues, ensuring compliance with service-level agreements (SLAs).
  • Analyse recurring problems and implement preventive measures to enhance system reliability.
  • Serve as the escalation point for resolving critical issues.
  • Proactively identify and address system issues to optimize performance and functionality
  • Maintain technical standards to ensure user requirements and expectations are consistently met.
