eSafety's Strategy, Engagement and Research Branch is focused on emerging issues, opportunities and challenges in the digital environment, including through policy, research, industry and international engagement, Safety by Design, thought leadership and the delivery of strategic projects.
The Strategic Policy and Tech Futures Team is responsible for promoting online safety by working to anticipate and address challenges to the regulation of online harms. The team also seeks to influence the strategic direction of cross cutting online safety policy, regulation and legislation by providing subject matter expertise and advice on online harms, online safety and new and emerging technologies.
The Team is focused on:
- informing, influencing and shaping how eSafety understands and approaches cross-cutting strategic policy and forward-thinking technology issues
- driving eSafety’s analysis and anticipation of complex, cross-cutting, existing, new and emerging technology issues
- coordinating and contributing to a range of strategic policy and forward-thinking technology processes, including briefings, submissions, speeches and other materials
- conducting research and environmental scanning and producing high quality, robust and evidence-based advice on policy and tech trends issues.
We have an exciting opportunity to join our highly skilled and dedicated Strategic Policy and Tech Futures Team and to play a pivotal and central role in ensuring eSafety is a leading voice, thought leader and trusted authority on policy and technology trends, challenges, opportunities, risks, sensitivities and synergies.
As Assistant Manager - Strategic Policy and Tech Futures, you will form part of the leadership of the team and will work with the other assistant managers and manager to drive a collaborative, constructive and high performing team that delivers for eSafety.
