As RAAFA’s Fundraising Specialist, you will play a crucial role in supporting our benevolent programs. You will work collaboratively within the Partnerships team to develop and implement strategies that build our planned giving and bequests program, drive donor engagement and increase revenue.

As RAAFA’s Fundraising Specialist, you will play a crucial role in supporting our benevolent programs. You will work collaboratively within the Partnerships team to develop and implement strategies that build our planned giving and bequests program, drive donor engagement and increase revenue.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive bequests program and stewardship plan, working with Marketing to create supportive assets and mechanics.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with individual donors, supporting the Partnerships Manager in managing corporate partners and foundations.
- Conduct workshops, seminars, and one-on-one meetings to educate donors and prospects about the benefits of planned giving.
- Work with legal and financial advisors to ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of bequest intentions and realised bequests, and track progress towards broader fundraising goals.
- Assist in planning and executing fundraising campaigns, including appeals, special events, and online giving initiatives.
- Maintain accurate donor records and track fundraising progress using our CRM system.
- Develop compelling fundraising materials, including newsletters, social media posts, and donor correspondence.
- Support the planning and execution of fundraising events, ensuring they run smoothly and achieve their financial goals.
- Prepare regular reports on the status of the fundraising program and present findings to the Partnerships Manager and senior leadership.
- Responsibility to comply with all RAAFA Policies and Procedures and all reasonable management directions.
- Responsibility to stay compliant with the Fundraising Institute of Australia Code

- A bachelor's degree in a relevant field (desirable).
- Solid experience in planned giving, bequest program development and fundraising.
- Demonstrable fundraising specific professional development.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, excellent organisational abilities, and demonstrated proficiency in using CRM software (highly desirable: Microsoft Dynamics).
