About The Role
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Product Manager – Retail Deposits to manage our deposits products across our BOQ, Virgin Money and ME Bank brands.
The primary goal of this role is to consistently deliver market-leading deposits banking experiences for our retail customers.
As the Product Manager – Retail Deposits, you will have end-to-end accountability for the performance of assigned portfolios against key commercial and customer targets.
You will drive the development and execution of market-leading products and processes to deliver on the Group's transformation strategy. This includes incident management, daily management of portfolio performance, and working with analytics and partners to provide regular reporting, insights, and recommendations to the Senior Product Manager, Head of Deposits and GM of Everyday Banking, Deposits and Consumer Finance.
You will identify and execute product initiatives to drive acquisition, cost efficiencies, product simplification, and better customer and staff experiences. Utilizing strong stakeholder and change management capabilities, you will execute within agreed timeframes and budgets. Additionally, you will manage key Deposits team relationships, oversee compliant marketing, customer communications, and product disclosure on our websites and collateral.
Your responsibilities will also include delivering key insights on the industry and competitor landscape using internal and external data sources to help drive decision-making and change. You will proactively identify portfolio risks and appropriately manage portfolio risk controls.

You will excel in stakeholder management, leveraging your strong influencing skills to drive business outcomes. Additionally, you will provide valuable insights through management reports and commentary to support decision-making.
The ideal candidate will hold a business or finance degree and have experience contributing to medium to large-scale transformation programs. You will be comfortable presenting at all levels of the organization and have a solid understanding of treasury and compliance functions.
Your sound knowledge of the operational features of retail banking products and the regulatory environment will enable you to liaise effectively with Risk, Compliance, and Legal teams to ensure compliance with legal requirements.
You will be well-versed in BOQ group's strategic goals and initiatives, understanding how your role connects to the broader organization. Your deep understanding of products, policies, and business processes will allow you to recognize customer needs and add value. You will be skilled at collecting information efficiently to deliver high-quality output and understand the rationale and benefits of changes.
