We’re looking for a skilled and principled investigator to join us as a Senior Investigator in the Professional Conduct team at the Legal Services Commission.
In this role, you’ll lead and support investigations into the conduct of legal practitioners and unlawful operators, helping to uphold professional standards across Queensland’s legal profession.
This is an opportunity to make a real impact—supporting fair, ethical, and high-quality legal services for all Queenslanders.

About the role
- Plan, conduct and review complex investigations into legal practitioners, law firm employees, and unlawful operators
- Recommend appropriate action to the Commissioner based on sound legal analysis and evidence
- Contribute to discipline applications and enforcement actions before courts and tribunals
- Communicate with a wide range of stakeholders, including consumers unfamiliar with legal processes
About You
- Strong investigative experience, including the use of coercive powers and analysis of complex legal matters
- Deep understanding of administrative law, procedural fairness, and professional conduct frameworks
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex issues
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work both independently and collaboratively
- Sound judgement, high integrity, and a strong commitment to public service
