Industry Lead and Manager

The Priority Industries and Initiatives team is seeking to fill two positions that will play a pivotal role in shaping workforce policy across Queensland’s key industries.

This is a unique opportunity for you to bring your partnership and network development skills, along with your commitment to problem solving and policy leadership, to improve workforce outcomes for our State.

You will be asked to strategically engage with key industry sectors, and using your own expertise alongside this advice, partner with government colleagues to inform both State and Federal workforce and skilling policy.

As an Industry Lead within the department, you will have a unique opportunity to be part of an enhanced strategic engagement function to build strong partnerships and networks internal and external to government.

You will identify opportunities, drive solutions, and work with industry to improve workforce outcomes for Queensland. You will be asked to partner with industry, government agencies, and other stakeholders to understand relevant industry sectors, their needs and identify strategic opportunities for workforce and training solutions to ensure we have the workforce Queensland needs into the future.
