Your New Role
Reporting to the Chief Customer Officer, the Head of Consumer Marketing and Digital is responsible for driving profitable growth in Australian Ethical’s direct channel. The remit encompasses direct sales targets as well as the digital product strategy and execution to meet these targets.
Our digital channels and products are the predominant source of customer acquisition of Australian Ethical investment products including superannuation, managed funds and ETF’s. With digital also playing a role in retention, engagement and existing customer satisfaction – the role will manage the performance of the digital marketing ecosystem, from off-platform media through to digital products such as web, join forms, portal and app.
Implementing strategic priorities to deliver business outcomes by acquiring new, as well as retaining, engaging and satisfying existing customers largely through digital channels is the name of the game!
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Development and execution of direct customer acquisition strategy underpinned by an intimate understanding our core target segments and working collaboratively with a range of internal and external stakeholders (e.g. agencies) to deliver acquisition targets and optimise approach
- Development and execution of customer management strategy including leveraging key partnerships and platforms to measurably maintain and ideally improve CSAT amongst existing customers
- Designing and delivering a digital product and technology strategy - working across the organisation to understand requirements, plan and prioritise cost and benefit effective digital product delivery
- Ensuring Data and Analytics are appropriately leveraged to inform marketing activity and decision making
- Effective management of our Customer Value Proposition utilising insights from various sources to inform product feature development required to achieve profitable growth
- Reporting and Performance Management assuring effective measurement of metrics, accurate forecasting and budget management
- Confident leadership of high performance within the consumer and digital product teams
About You
You’re a passionate performance marketing leader, with experience in oversight of digital product development and management. You most likely have a background in recurring revenue / subscription-based service environments / industries marketing to consumers with a proven track record of converting, retaining, engaging and delighting them predominantly through digital channels. In addition to effortlessly switching between strategic and operational, being highly commercial and data driven, you’re an energetic, adept leader with a naturally collaborative working style. If you have all or most of the below, we’d love to hear from you:
- 10+ years’ experience in a digital marketing and digital product management
- Leadership experience developing, implementing, and monitoring integrated digital marketing strategies that drive acquisition, engagement and revenue
- Extensive knowledge of performance marketing, digital tools, marketing automation, technology and content platforms
- A working knowledge of and experience utilising test plans and data analysis tools to drive digital marketing performance and digital optimisation
- Extensive experience in campaign performance monitoring and presenting data and insights to key stakeholders
- Leadership experience including an ability to build and lead a high-performing team
- Proven track record working positively with external partners to deliver meaningful outcomes
- A working knowledge of human centred design thinking and applications, project management and agile methodologies
