The Role

We are seeking a detail oriented, strategic, and analytical Finance Manager to support the financial health and growth of Derma Aesthetics. Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will play a key role in financial planning, budgeting, reporting, and commercial analysis. This position combines core accounting responsibilities with financial insight and cross-functional collaboration to drive informed decision making, ensuring compliance with financial regulations to support business growth and profitability.

Your Responsibilities: 

  • Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Develop financial models and forecasts to support strategic initiatives and operational planning.
  • Manage month end and year end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Monitor key financial metrics and provide insights to senior leadership to drive business performance.
  • Lead and manage the preparation of internal and external financial statements in accordance with regulatory and accounting standards.
  • Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Coordinate and liaise with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory agencies as needed.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation in financial operations.

Skills & Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of Australian accounting standards and tax regulations.
  • Advanced financial analysis and modelling skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, with experience in executive-level reporting.
  • Leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop a high-performing finance team.
  • Proficiency in financial software, including Xero, and advanced Excel skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound financial decisions.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • CPA or CA qualification preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a finance management role.
  • Experience in the skincare or retail industry is a plus.
