Diesel Mechanic – Field Service – EMERALD 7/7 Roster

We are looking for a talented Field Service Technician to join our high performing field service team in Emerald, QLD. In this role, you will provide support, diagnose and complete repairs to Cummins HHP products at mining customers in Emerald, Blackwater, Middlemount and Biloela.

This technician must be located in Emerald, QLD, and we can assist with relocation.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

• Complete repairs and maintenance of heavy diesel products and attend to breakdowns in the field, this will be on an on-call roster
• Diagnose and repair engines
• Inspect and replace components as required
• Engine rebuilding and reconditioning
• Work with other major OEM’s such as Hitachi, Komatsu, Liebherr
  
  

Responsibilities

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

• Relevant Heavy Diesel trade qualification - Heavy Vehicle Mechanic/Plant Mechanic or Diesel Fitter (to Australian standards)
• Experience as a Diesel Mechanic in the service and maintenance of heavy diesel products, mining equipment, power generation on engines and similar applications is preferred (ideally with an OEM)
• Located in Emerald, or be open to relocating to Emerald, QLD

Qualifications

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

• Local Valid Drivers License
• Apprentice Trained Engine Technician
• Relevant Heavy Diesel trade qualification - Heavy Vehicle Mechanic/Plant Mechanic or Diesel Fitter (to Australian standards)
• Experience as a Diesel Mechanic in the service and maintenance of heavy diesel products, mining equipment, power generation on engines and similar applications is preferred (ideally with an OEM)
• Intermediate level knowledge/experience of heavy duty engine in the field or from the workshop looking to move into the field
  
  

Note: This role has a 7 on / 7 off roster, 12.5 hours per shift.
