This is a well known agency with a great mission and purpose. They require two cyber security risk assessors to join them and assist with their risk identification/qualification and advise them on appropriate mitigation and management strategies.

Contract: 18 months + 18 month extension

Rate: Approx. $950 - $1100 per day

Location: VIC, ACT, WA

As Part Of This Role You Will

  • Lead and conduct security risk assessment of internal systems evaluating cyber threats, inherent vulnerabilities, and the likelihood of exploitation/consequences
  • Implement best practice methodologies and risk management practices in like with MITRE Att&ck, PSPF, NIST, ISO 27001, etc.
  • Develop system-specific security documentation an artefacts inc. statement of applicability, system security plan, security risk management plan, cyber security incident response plan, continuous monitoring plan, and security assessment plan.
  • Develop authority to operate artefacts and manage security risk/control uplift initiatives based off your findings.
  • Produce targeted security advice for the agency and it's stakeholders
  • Develop IT security standards, policies, procedures, and controls in relation to the environment and potential threats

To be suitable for this role you will have over 5 years experience in high performing cyber security risk positions, have worked with the ISM/PSPF in a federal government context, and be able to educate and influence stakeholders on their security responsibilities.
