About the role

Casual opportunity to provide effective, efficient and professional interpreting (and related) services to MNH patients and carers who are not proficient in English or who are hearing impaired.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

Provide a superior linguistic support role within Metro North Health for Culturally and Linguistically Diverse clients relevant to languages the role is accredited to interpret.
Communicate with families and visitors to provide general advice on hospital visit, and assist with completion of relevant forms, and other duties as required.
Comply with policies, procedures, standards and guidelines relevant to the position, including human resource management, workplace health and safety, equal employment opportunity and anti-discrimination policies.
Undertake other appropriate duties as required and directed by Team Leader, MN Language Services
