The Opportunity

We are seeking a part-time Pharmacy Technician to join our Slade Pharmacy East Toowoomba team. Based in St. Vincent’s Private Hospital Toowoomba, you will be part of an innovative and multidisciplinary team delivering outstanding pharmacy services to our client hospital and their patients.

This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on Hospital Pharmacy experience and further develop your knowledge and skills in a multidisciplinary environment.

About The Role

  • Dispense and supply medication and pharmacy products.
  • Delivery of medications to hospital wards.
  • Process sales transactions and assist with account queries.
  • Ensure patients and nursing staff receive the correct medication.
  • Support patients, carers, hospital staff and associated employees.

Shift Information

This is a permanent part-time position, requiring 42-hours per fortnight, worked across a 3-day roster from Monday to Friday. There is some flexibility if your needs differ, and weekend work can be negotiated.

About You

You are an experienced Pharmacy Technician or Assistant looking to take the next step in your Pharmacy career. Hospital experience is desirable but not essential as hands-on training will be provided to ensure the successful transition into hospital pharmacy!

Essential Requirements

  • Dispensing experience in an Australian based hospital or community pharmacy.
  • Be able to address patient needs with confidentiality, sensitivity and professionalism.
  • The ability to work autonomously in a team environment.
  • Permanent Australian working rights.

Desirable Skills And Experience

  • Dispensary Technician Certificate or equivalent as recognised by the Pharmacy Board of Australia.
  • Hospital Pharmacy experience
