Cloud Architect | Federal Gov Canberra-based (on-site) Must be able to obtain Baseline Clearance 12-month initial contract + 2 x 12-month extensions We're looking for a Cloud Architect to join a Federal Government department on a long-term program shaping enterprise cloud solutions across Azure and M365. This is a hands-on architecture and engineering role, working closely with cross-functional teams to design, guide, and implement complex systems aligned to whole-of-government (WoG) standards. Key Responsibilities
- Designing enterprise-level architectures for Azure + M365
- Shaping high-level and detailed cloud solution designs
- Leading cloud engineering best practice - think CI/CD, automation, integration
- Providing impact assessments and architectural guidance
- Driving adherence to WoG standards and DTA's Digital Service Standards
- Collaborating with business, architects, developers, BAs, testers, and UX teams
- Being a thought leader and mentor within the cloud space
Skills and Experience
- 5+ years of experience across Cloud Architecture / Engineering:
- (Azure, Azure SQL, Logic Apps, API Mgmt, Service Bus, Azure DevOps, Visual Studio)
- Strong experience integrating with third-party systems - Dynamics 365 CRM is a big plus!
- Leadership experience across project / operations environments.
- Ability to support and mentor other team members.
- Strong background in integration, application, or infrastructure architecture
- Documenting enterprise architectures for large organisations
