Darling Downs Health is seeking a dynamic and compassionate leader to join our team as an Emergency Preparedness and Disaster Manager. In this role, you will oversee disaster and emergency response plans, develop and maintain risk-based Business Continuity Plans, and provide expert advice on operational risk management. Your leadership and innovative thinking will drive continuous improvement and support our mission to deliver exceptional care.
What Your Day Will Look Like….
As an Emergency Preparedness and Disaster Manager, your day will be filled with impactful activities that ensure the safety and resilience of our healthcare services. You will collaborate with service delivery leads to develop and maintain Business Impact Analyses and Business Continuity Plans, ensuring they are robust and effective. Your role will involve providing operational leadership, offering expert advice on business continuity and risk management practices, and working closely with the executive team to integrate comprehensive disaster planning and policy development. You will lead regular testing programs for our preparedness plans, coordinate with local and state emergency management agencies, and represent Darling Downs Health at various forums. Your day will be a blend of strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, and hands-on leadership, all aimed at fostering a culture of preparedness and excellence in emergency management.
