Responsibilities

Our client is a rapidly growing company in its field. They are now looking for a Senior Financial Accountant to join their team. Reporting to/being mentored by the Financial Controller, this is a varied role and your duties and responsibilities will include:

• Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities, including group consolidation
• Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts
• Monitor budget performance and provide variance analysis and reports to management
• Updates of accounting policies and procedures
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies
• Assist with review of month-end balance sheet reconciliations and review and sign off journals
• Assist with annual statutory reporting obligations, including compiling of documentation and interaction with external auditors
• Support Manager and finance team and provide ad-hoc assistance to management as required
• Assist with the validation of input data for budgeting and forecasting
  
  

Ideally you will be CA/CPA qualified, have a minimum of 5 years' experience and have a solid understanding of Accounting standards, legislation and the Corporations Act. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a Head Office role on the Sunshine Coast and progress your accounting career.
