We are seeking a Senior Psychologist to join the dynamic and highly skilled Engagement Wellbeing Outreach Capability Service in our beautiful North Queensland Region.
This role is offered on a temporary full-time basis, for a period of 8 months, unless otherwise determined.

About The Role
The Engagement Wellbeing Outreach Capability Service is a regional service that supports schools across the North Queensland Region in their care of students. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to be part of a supportive and diverse team rich with educational experience and clinical skills.
This role offers exciting opportunities for travel across the North Queensland Region to support capability and outreach in our remote communities. Additionally, the successful applicant may be considered for school-based opportunities working directly with school teams and communities.

Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To
- Assess psychological needs and identify appropriate responses and interventions to support the mental health and wellbeing of students and/or undertake individual and group counselling and therapeutic interventions requiring specialised psychological practice with students, parents and families.
- Provide leadership and demonstrate high levels of expertise in specific or specialised clinical areas to psychologists in collaboration with regional and school management teams, to promote the delivery of safe, effective, high quality psychology services.
- Support psychologists and schools within regions and across the state to use clinical evidence-based psychology practices to achieve positive student learning outcomes.
- Work with the Senior Advisor, Psychology to identify professional development needs and proactively plan, implement and evaluate clinical supervision, training and development initiatives for psychologists in schools.
To be considered for this role:
- Applicants who demonstrate experience working as a Senior Psychologist within MDT settings will be highly regarded;
- Exceptional communication and relational skills are key attributes;
- The successful applicant must hold general registration with AHPRA and hold an open drivers licence.
