The Role

Hudson has partnered with a high profile government department seeking an experienced APS 5 Policy to join their team in either a contract engagement or a S26 transfer.

As part of a dynamic team, you will coordinate high-level meetings with key stakeholders and support policy development and program management of special projects that deliver on the Government's agenda.

If you are based in Canberra, and have a minimum NV 1 baseline clearance, then this just might be the role for you!

Duties:

  • Build, maintain, and facilitate collaboration with a wide network of stakeholders (internal and external) including across Whole of Government and with Pacific partners.
  • Provide timely, accurate and persuasive policy advice and written materials for Ministers, the senior executive, and other agencies including high quality briefs, submissions, QTBs, correspondence, reports and discussion papers.
  • Coordinate high-level meetings with key government and external stakeholders, including preparing papers for senior staff members to chair PALM scheme consultative and governance fora.
  • Support effective program management of high-profile activities.
  • Contributing to a dynamic and high performing team, including promoting an inclusive work culture and building staff and organisational capability.
