What does the job look like?

We are seeking a driven and experienced Route Operations Manager to lead the BevChain "Away from Home" operations based at our customer site in Mentone, Victoria. T his role ove rsees the end-to-end daily transport operations including a mix of company and subcontractor with 2 direct supervisors.

You will be responsible for deliverin g on key KPIs across safety, service, and cost, while supporting continuous improvement, operational efficiency and outstanding customer satisfaction. Key areas:

• Lead and develop your team, fostering a strong safety culture and delivering high performance through effective communication, coaching, and training.
• Oversee daily resource allocation, route planning, fleet utilisation, and real-time problem-solving to meet customer expectations and maximise commercial return.
• Drive compliance with CoR, NHVR regulations, fatigue management, mass limits, and vehicle safety. Investigate incidents and promote a proactive safety culture.
• Act as the key point of contact for our customer, ensuring deliveries are on time, accurate, and in alignment with SLA requirements.
• Champion CI initiatives to streamline routing execution and improve DOT performance
  
  
  

Are you the one?

You are a confident leader with strong commercial acumen and a passion for operational improvement. You thrive in fast-paced environments and have a proven ability to manage drivers and subcontractors effectively. You can demonstrate:

• Previous experience in transport operations, specifically final mile delivery
• Proven results in improving service delivery and operational KPIs
• Strong people leadership and influencing skills
• Sound knowledge of TMS/WMS and Microsoft Excel
• Understanding of fleet scheduling, load configurations, and routing
• Experience working with subcontractors and customer relationship management
• A continuous improvement mindset and strong attention to detail
