Date: 2 weeks ago
City: Mount Waverley, Victoria
Contract type: Part time
  • 12-month Fixed Term Contract
  • Part time (3 days or flexible short hours over 4-5 days)

About the Opportunity

We’re looking for a dedicated Claims and Return to Work Administrator to join our People and Culture team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. You’ll be the single point of contact for all things injury-related — supporting our people leaders and injured employees through the claims and RTW process with empathy, professionalism, and diligence.

This national role requires strong organisational skills, a solid understanding of claims and RTW management, and the ability to work independently. You’ll also help out with some light Learning & Development administration (don’t worry — we’ll train you on that!).

Key Responsibilities:

Claims Management

  • End-to-end processing of Workers Compensation claims
  • Assess and manage documentation (e.g. medical certificates)
  • Submit reports and meet legislative deadlines
  • Promote proactive and preventative claims management

Customer Service

  • Be the primary contact for injured workers, managers, and insurers
  • Maintain clear, professional communication with all stakeholders
  • Support people leaders to help get their teams safely back to work

Data & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate claim files and documentation
  • Provide timely updates to Payroll for wage payments
  • Use Excel and other tools to manage claim data efficiently

Return to Work Coordination

  • Collaborate with employees, managers, rehab providers, and medical teams
  • Educate stakeholders on their responsibilities under the RTW framework
  • Guide safe and supportive return-to-work plans

Learning & Development (approx. 1 day per week)

  • Upload content and maintain staff access to the learning platform (Tribal Habits)
  • Support onboarding/offboarding in the LMS
  • Generate reports as required

About you!

You’re highly organised, proactive, and always one step ahead. Calm under pressure, you handle tricky situations with confidence and care. You thrive working independently, build strong relationships with ease, and you're tech-savvy with a can-do attitude when it comes to learning new systems like Tribal Habits.

  • Experience in case/claims management or return-to-work coordination
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information
  • Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills
  • RTW Coordinator certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Understanding of Workers Compensation across multiple Australian states (desirable)
