The Position

We are seeking an experienced Finance Officer to work within our Accounts Payable team. This role is responsible for the standard financial accounts payable duties within in this team.

Day to day duties for this role will include (but not be limited to):

  • Complete the processes in relation to Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, Petty Cash, Cash and Bank Reconciliations
  • Prepare and present draft monthly Sundry Debtors to Finance Team
  • Prepare EFT payment, including verification through EFT payment portal and upload to correct trading bank account
  • Bank reconciliation and reporting for end of month posting approving
  • Generate and distribute remittance advices
  • Investigate and rectify problems with resource usage
  • Create requisitions using ARM software
  • Data entry of appropriately authorised and coded tax invoices (including scanned uploads) and payment requests
  • Liaise with Creditors and responding to enquiries, resolve invoice discrepancies

The Person

Key Selection Criteria for this position includes:

  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills and the ability to provide high level of customer service
  • Previous experience of at least two years performing in Accounts Payable / Receivable, Bank Reconciliation, general ledger. Cash and related procedures including GST.
  • Proficient computer literacy and knowledge of the Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams)
  • Proven ability to understand and utilise financial software applications more complex than MYOB / Quicken
  • Well developed priority and time management skills, and ability to work independently (if required)
  • Demonstrated ability to work as an effective team member
  • Certificate III in Accounts Administration or similar qualification / experience preferably in a health care setting.
  • Demonstrated experience in accurate and timely data processing and reconciliations.
