About the opportunity
Reporting to the Workplace Health and Safety Manager, the Workplace Health and Safety Advisor will support the construction team to maintain high levels of safety standards whilst ensuring compliance with the group safety systems. More specifically, your responsibilities will include:
• Site inspections and WHS system audits
• Coordinate risk management actions including incident, maintenance, risk and hazard reports and registers
• Facilitate WHS related toolbox meetings and address non-conformance issues
• Assist subcontractor WHS management and incident management
• Provide information, training and resources to subcontractors and relevant people on-site
• Generate reports on inspections and recommend corrective actions
• Provide administrative support to the WHS Management team
• Collaborate cross functionally to implement improvements to the contractor experience and dispute resolution process
About you
You will share a passion for our purpose and be aligned to our core values. In addition, you will demonstrate:
• Previous experience in residential construction
• Cert IV in Work Health and Safety or equivalent
• White Card, First Aid Certificate and Driver’s Licence
• Knowledge of WHS Legislation & Regulations, Cods of Practice and Standards in the Construction Industry
• Goal oriented, self-motivated, and able to work within a team environment
• Willing to travel between sites across Sydney, South Coast and Canberra
